Pulmonologist – Remote (PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor)
SUMMARY
Avel eCare, a leader in delivering specialty telemedicine across the U.S., is seeking a Pulmonologist to join our Specialty Clinic team as a PRN / 1099 Independent Contractor. As a Pulmonologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of pulmonary conditions. You will provide consultations via telemedicine platforms, allowing you to offer accessible and convenient care to patients from the comfort of your own home.
General Hours of Work: 4 hours/week with potential to increase

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct remote consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for respiratory and pulmonary diseases in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Offer personalized care and evidence-based treatment options for conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep-related breathing disorders, and other respiratory conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications, including bronchodilators, inhaled corticosteroids, biologic therapies, pulmonary vasodilators, and other evidence-based treatments.
- Provide patient education on managing chronic lung conditions, optimizing inhaler technique, smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and improving overall respiratory health and quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records through our electronic health record system.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments and best practices in pulmonology and telemedicine.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- MD or DO degree required.
- A minimum of 1 year practice experience in Pulmonology.
- Telemedicine experience preferred but not required.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
- Active DEA certification and Board Certification/Board Eligible in Pulmonology.
- At least one unrestricted state license (any state in the U.S.)
- MN License preferred.
