Executive Director of Business Development
SUMMARY
Avel eCare is currently seeking a dynamic business development leader to join its growing team. The Executive Director of Business Development is responsible for the achievement of Avel growth targets in each of the hospital and health system service lines. As the Executive Director of Business Development this individual will promote Avel Service lines to large hospitals and health systems throughout the country. This individual interacts with multiple internal stakeholders, must have an extensive list of relationships in the large hospital and health system sector, and have a proven track record of successfully closing large, complex contracts. The Executive Director of Business Development position requires significant experience in the healthcare industry, and demonstratable sales success/quota achievement. Other requirements include self-direction, responsibility and significant travel. Position is measured by ability to achieve and/or exceed annual quota.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Designs and executes a large hospital and health system sales strategy that meets and/or exceeds annual sales quota.
- Effectively communicates the value proposition of Avel services to C-Suite decision makers.
- Leads and manages the sales process from the first contact to sales meetings, to proposal, to contract closure.
- Quickly establishes a pipeline of prospective clients and establish a regular cadence of onsite meetings with C-Suite decision makers.
- Ensures sales activities are documented in the contact management system in a timely manner.
- Reports on pipeline creation activities, opportunity progression, and sales forecasting as required.
- Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with strategic channel partners, state and national associations, and other business partners that support the sales strategy.
- Has the ability to travel extensively and participate at state medical associations, national conferences, and social events.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in the healthcare industry required.
- 5+ years experience in healthcare sales required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS
- This position requires a valid driver’s license, and that the employee is insurable by the Avel automobile liability insurance carrier.
