About this Opportunity
The Executive Director of Business Development is responsible for achieving Avel’s growth targets across all hospital and health system service lines. This role involves promoting Avel services to large hospitals and health systems, developing strategic relationships, and closing complex contracts. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, a proven sales track record, and the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
This role requires self-direction, extensive travel, and significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy for large hospitals and health systems to meet/exceed annual sales quotas.
- C-Suite Engagement: Present Avel’s value proposition effectively to decision-makers.
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
- Sales Process Management: Lead end-to-end sales processes, including meetings, proposals, and contract closures.
- CRM Documentation: Document sales activities promptly and thoroughly in the contact management system.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, opportunity progression, and sales forecasts.
- Strategic Partnerships: Foster relationships with channel partners, associations, and business collaborators.
- Travel: Represent Avel at conferences, events, and client meetings nationwide.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in healthcare sales, with a track record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
- Strong background in the healthcare industry.
Licensure:
- Valid driver’s license with insurability under Avel’s liability insurance carrier.
