SUMMARY:
Avel eCare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Medical Director to support our Senior Care division. This role is ideal for a physician passionate about improving care delivery for older adults through innovative telemedicine solutions. The Associate Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and contribute to quality improvement and program development initiatives
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide clinical oversight and leadership to APPs within the Senior Care program.
- Conduct routine chart reviews and offer clinical guidance (approximately 8 hours/month).
- Participate in the development and execution of clinical protocols and programming (8 hours/month).
- Be listed on collaboration agreements with APPs in applicable states.
- Engage in performance improvement and clinical quality initiatives.
- Serve as Medical Director for partner facilities as needed.
- Maintain active licensure in states served by the Senior Care program.
- Fulfill CME requirements (estimated 4 hours/month).
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in senior or long-term care.
- Experience working with or supervising APPs.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with telemedicine and remote care delivery models is a plus.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in relevant states.
- Active unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure.
- Eligible for ILMC preferred.
- Board certified in related specialty required.
- DEA certification is required.
