SUMMARY: 

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible to plan, organize, and implement therapy services to patients and families through telehealth services. The Outpatient Therapist will be responsible for evaluations and treatment for individuals of all ages who are suffering from mental health issues through interactive video communication. This position would be responsible for ongoing therapy, completing biopsychosocial assessments for Avel eCare patients. This position requires the ability to communicate with providers on and off site during weekly team meetings. This person will serve as a member of the Avel eCare Specialty Clinic interdisciplinary team and help to carry out and execute all service line goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible to plan, organize, and implement social work services to customer sites, patients, and families, assuring that related emotional and social needs are met and maintained for individuals and families via telehealth.
  • Communicates effectively with a variety of individuals and functions calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Consults with psychiatrists and other Specialty Clinic staff in designing appropriate treatment plans to patient care crisis problems and reported symptoms.
  • Provides consulting services to outlying partnering facilities.
  • Develops policies and procedures as part of the Avel eCare Specialty Clinic Services interdisciplinary team to assure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrates leadership in promoting sustainable changes in service delivery and practice to improve the quality of services provided.
  • Demonstrates ethical decision making by applying standards of the NASW Code of Ethics to everyday practice.
  • Recognizes, understands, and respects how certain culture’s structures and values may oppress, marginalize, alienate, and create or enhance privilege and power.
  • Demonstrates sufficient self-awareness to eliminate the influence of personal biases and values in working with diverse populations.
  • Provides supervision for LCSW teammates working towards PIP when applicable.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree in social work is required.
  • Clinical experience (including internships and/or practicum) of minimum 1 year providing individual counseling services required.
  • Crisis intervention training preferred.
  • Preferred candidates will also have experience working with clients having dual diagnoses issues (addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions).
  • Preferred candidates will have clinical experience conducting evaluations and providing individual therapy services to individuals.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:

  • Licensed as a Social Worker with one unrestricted state license is required.
  • Social Worker Licensure required within the states where they are assigned with eCare programs within 6 months of employment.
  • All licenses must remain in good standing to receive license through reciprocity for states that eSchool Health, eSANE and Specialty Clinic are providing.
  • Licensed as a Certified Social Worker - Private or Independent Practice (CSW-PIP) or state equivalent is required.
