About this Opportunity:
Avel eCare is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger accounting systems, providing ad-hoc reporting, and supporting all accounting functions, including general accounting, treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset management, and tax accounting for Avel eCare and affiliated entities. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient completion of financial tasks, particularly month-end close, to meet company deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Perform daily accounting functions and reconcile cash balances daily and monthly.
- Work with the Controller to ensure timely month-end close.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and posting journal entries to the general ledger.
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset accounting system, including ROU assets.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze financial reports and records to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to complete Team Dynamix tasks on time.
- Provide audit support for external audits as required.
- Ensure timely filing and proper accounting of sales & use tax.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with business licenses, property tax filings, and all other tax-related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, including A/R, A/P, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), accounting software, and NetSuite.
