General Hours: Flexible Hours that includes Days/Evenings (7p-10p CST)/Weekends 

Exempt/Non-Exempt Status: Non-Exempt (PRN)

Department: Specialty Clinic 

Schedule: 2-6 hour shifts 


SUMMARY:

Complete the medical and mental interview of active military reserve service members via two audio/video or telephonic means. Nurse Practitioners practice under the rules and regulations of the Nurse Practice Act of the states in which the practitioner is providing services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Complete the medical and mental interview of active military reserve service members via two audio/video or telephonic means.
  2. Evaluates the physical, mental, psychosocial, and developmental needs of service members.
  3. Identify needs for referral of focused care for any newly identified or untreated medical or mental wellbeing issues.
  4. Document all assessments and findings within documentation IT system in near real-time.
  5. Must complete required training for military requirements for assessments and privacy.
  6. Meets with the physician for consultation and collaboration as required per any state requirements.
  7. Assists with the design, revision, and implementation of protocols as requested.
  8. Recognizes and reacts appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care.
  9. Participates in data review and analysis of Avel eCare Specialty Clinic operational outcomes and metrics as requested

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
  • Three or more years of experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE and/or REGISTRATIONS: 

  • Must be licensed in one of the following states Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Missouri, Virgina, Alabama, California, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Washington as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must maintain full and current certification as a nurse practitioner from a nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
